Recommendations enable building owners develop a strategy for low energy / carbon refurbishment and operation through

  • Control of ventilation.
  • Insulation of the building envelope.
  • Optimised building services for heating, cooling, hot water and lighting.

  • Post-Occupancy-Evaluation (POE)

Buildings may fail to meet the intended design standards or may be used in an ineffective manner. Post Occupancy Evaluation assesses the comfort of occupants, efficiency of operation, environmental conditions and associated running costs of buildings. Findings and recommendations lead to more efficient, comfortable and cost effective operation of buildings. Scott+MacNeill use the proven POE methodology of the Usable Building Trust.
